My Experience Babysitting a Toddler

I babysat my 2-year-old cousin, Lily, last Saturday. Her parents went to the movies. I planned fun activities for her. First, we colored with crayons—she drew a big pink sun. Then I made her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cut into small pieces. She ate it slowly, getting jelly on her cheeks. We played with her dollhouse—she was the mommy, and I was the baby. When she got sleepy, I read her a bedtime story about a rabbit. She fell asleep holding her favorite teddy bear. I cleaned up the coloring supplies and wiped her face. When her parents came home, Lily was still sleeping. They thanked me and gave me a box of candies. Babysitting Lily was tiring but rewarding. I learned to be patient and gentle. I’m happy to babysit her again.
